My girlfriend just tried to play one of many DVD's her rellies in Canada gave her for her birthday on the PS2. We get the message that it can't be played due to regional restrictions.

Obviously I wouldn't want to hear about any unofficial or otherwise naughty methods of making a PS2 multi-region. Especially not to my email address as per profile.

yup think hmv and places sell region free stuff all region x i think it's called need a boot cd then you put in dvd you wanna watch.

Yeah, DVD RegionX - you can get it from http://www.play.com/

I use it from time to time, pop it in the PS2, reset it then select what region you want to play.
