Difference between NTFS and FAT32??
#1
The question is does 'Joe Public Home User' know the difference.....because...
I was in Micro Anvika (dont ask - only place they had what i wanted in stock).....
And whilst at till - listening to shop assistant and brownnosing customer going on about NTFS, shop assistant turns round and says "Oh - everyone uses NTFS these days - no-one uses FAT32 any more".......
At this point I put my chipper hat on and say "You what?"
For the next five minutes he is on his soapbox saying about how if we walk round the shop and conduct an impromptu poll - all the users will reply NTFS over FAT32 formatting.....
I am aghast and tell him - "Mate - you don't know what you're talking about"
He then replies - yes I f****** well do - you're the one who doesn't......
To which I reply - "Later...." and walk out of the shop leaving my purchase behind.....
What do you guys think......Average 'Joe Public' remember...

average joe public won't know what you're even talking about.
NTFS can be used by NT, Win2k and WinXP but not 95,98,98se,me etc. These will be FAT16 or FAT32. There are different versions of NTFS.
I reckon most systems will be the default file system for the operating system, can't remember what each one is.

Well these *****rs are only working as shop assistants coz they cant cut it in the real world. As mentioned average Joe wouldn't even know what file system they were using and the respective cluster sizes!
What muppets!

LOL at Ken's first comment. Every time I enter PC World I have to bite my lip with the amount of ***** they talk. As most of my friends know I'm in IT you spend half your free time helping or training the muppets. God knows how Joe Public survive.
