2k crashed last night pretty bad so its time for a re-install.

Only thing i dont like is the fact, i cant lock the work station?? On XP pro, i press ctrl+alt+delete, and no option was available.

Any ideas?

Thumbs up

Yeah, another bit of new-fangled GUI that you'll want to turn off in XP.

Go to User accounts in the control panel, and click on 'Change the way users log on or off'. You can then turn off fast-switching which is completely pointless and a waste of the machine's resources. Uncheck 'user the welcome' screen, and you'll have the normal login/locking screen you're used to in previous versions of NT.
