Hi folks, I have the following bits for sale from my server at home. Ideally, all together in the package that I have laid out:
SCSI Setup:
1xAdaptec 29160N 68/50 Pin SCSI160 Controller
1xAopen 5 Bay 80 Pin SCSI160 Hot Swap Bay (Slightly Dremelled at the very bottom of it to ensure fitting into 3 5.25 bays)
1xSeagate Cheetahx15 36LP 36.7Gb 15Krpm SCSI160 80 Pin Drive
1x IBM DDYS-T31850M 18.35Gb 10Krpm SCSI160 80 Pin Drive
1x IBM DPSS-31850M 18.35Gb 7.2Krpm SCSI160 80 Pin Drive
Going with prices that I got this week, the current avg new prices for the kit are as follows:
Seagate Cheetah 15Krpm Drive - £310 Inc VAT
IBM 10Krpm Drive - £150 Inc VAT
IBM 7.2Krpm Drive - £100 Inc VAT
Adaptec SCSI160 Controller - £150 Inc VAT
Aopen HSC5 5 Bay Hot Swap Cage - £150 Inc VAT
TOTAL = £862
I am after £400 for all of the above
The kit has been used very little. Bear in mind that they have been holding mp3's, game serving occasionally via ADSL, hosting UT webstats and there are only 3 users in the house and you get what I mean
I am quite willing to take pictures at the end of the weekend, as that is when I will be extracting the kit and retiring the server.
If I cannot sell the whole kit together, which would be a real shame as it absolutely flies, then I would consider selling the parts off at the following prices:
Seagate Cheetah 15Krpm Drive - £150
IBM 10Krpm Drive - £75
IBM 7.2Krpm Drive - £50
Adaptec SCSI160 Controller - £75
Aopen HSC5 5 Bay Hot Swap Cage - £75
They will be split only if I find a buyer for each component. Sorry guys, but that's the way it is
Cheers,
Nick

Right, the Bay and the 3 drives are prosionally sold to The_Max, subject to confirmation by monday, leaving the 29160N SCSI 160 card. If anyone is interested in the kit, just incase it falls through, then let me know, but 1 person has first say on the SCSI card though.

Nick

Sorry fella, Rob(the max) looks like he is coming over this afternoon to do the deal. If it doesn't happen, which is unlikely, then I will let you know.
Cheers,
Nick

The Bay and the 3 drives are gone now. I have the 29160N still for sale. Mr Wallis has first say as he asked earlier this week, but let me know if you are interested.
