Best PC deal for about £600
#1
A friend of mine is looking to buy a complete pc set up for home use and digital photography. Can anyone point me to any really good deals/websites that do resonable pc's for about £600. Must have CDRW and 256-512MB memory and preferably a 17"monitor

..depends on what the digital photography requirements are
...if its for other than simple cropping of a few photos, I'd say a minimum of 1.4-1.6GHz processor and 80GB disk.
These seem the best 'value for money' specs at the moment (ie not top end prices, but not out of date already), but I'm not sure £600 will be quite enough
You could play with the config on
http://commerce.euro.dell.com/dellst...secondary1&v=d
..around £900 inc Vat + delivery, but it is a 2.4Ghz processor

Not used them, or any knowledge of them. But does seem a cheap price
