right - I keep getting this message when my computer (W2000 OS) freezes up - anyone any idea what it relates to & possible solutions ??

***STOP: 0x0000001E (0x0000005,0xA00766F7,0x00000000,0x08180000)
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

It occurs randomly - not sure what triggers it - is it a hardware thing or a program ???

Any advice please - oh ! - and there is a pint in it for anyone who solves this problem

Question

Does it give the source of the error ? Aspi32.sys ? Win32k.sys ?

It's a driver problem. And a right turd to try to find what it is...

What mobo are you running? If it's a Via chipset or hybrid you might want to try the VIA PCI latency patch.

It doesnt give the source...
But I think it may be the video card - rather than windows kicking up... ASUS8200 NVIDIA AGP
I've just wiggled the card in the slot and it wasnt sitting fully ?
It happens regularly if I go into a game or something goes for Quicktime etc... (but its not 100% predictable!)

Wonder whether I need to update the driver ?
