Need some help please.
Usind Pipex Xtreme ADSL with a LAN Router on NAT service. How do I access the router to open specific ports and/or forward ports to a specific PC? Can I set up a DMZ on this too?
I have the IP address of the router, but this gives me nothing more than a connection screen - no menu or other means of accessing behind the scenes.
Is any of this possible? Please say yes.
Cheers

Its a BT badged 5861 with the restricted firmware.
I tried upping the firmware level on a previous router, but ended up 'upping' the router instead, if you get me!

I think that the only way you'll be able to do this is to replace the router with your own....You can't do much to the BT units.
The other alternative is to buy a hardware firewall (SonicWALL, Netscreen etc) and get that to do want you want....
You'll never be able to get a DMZ going via the box either...and most, if not all, ADSL routers will not support a DMZ as such.
