hadnt played this game in ages, so reinstalled it last night and it keeps bloody freezin while drivin.

pc is fine on all my other games..

athlon 1.7, geforce 3 ti500, 512 ram.

Even tried the patch from the cmr2 website and it made it worse lol..

I get this on mine to, and it use to be fine years ago. Using Win2k. Try reinitialising the gfx card in the game options, that helps me for some reason.

Yup got it cheers. Have u got a force feedback or USB stick? Read this anyway point #3 about the audio compression codec, as it may help: '3. Problem: When force feedback is enabled the game runs very poorly with 'choppy' or low frames rates.'

Also read the bit about USB sticks, that might fix the problem, I will test tonight, as I have a USB sidewinder stick. When I use to play it and it was fine, I had a normal stick in the gameport, so this could be the problem

lol DOH! but they will work, as XP is basically win2k tarted up, n win2k is supported

possibly they could but xp doesnt have the options to select that its suggesting or the control panel applets

yes it will yes it does Control panel Sounds&Multimedia/hardware/audio codecs/properties
and gaming options/properties on your listed stick.
