from allowing other programs to send email?

I know they implemented it to stop virus etc, but I have a program that uses the outlook client to send email (backupe exec) now every time when the back up finishes it tries to send the report, but outlook xp brings up the box saying another program is trying to send email, do you want it to YES NO or CANCEL.

Anyway of just disabling this ?

Christian, I know exactly what you are referring to and there is a way of stopping it. I did not so long back.....

To the best of my recolection you have to disable or lower the level of security settings on the Outlook client, cant remember where it is and Iam on a Office2000 machine today.

Outlook XP is a pain in the ****, it also bloacks attachments IT considers to be unsfafe!! - yeah thanks but I would like to make that decision thanks!

I also remember telling to "always allow this operation to send mail" check box somewhere........I will rack my brains/memory and let you know if I can remember where you do it but it can be done, I also use Back-up exec here.

Cheers,

Tom.
