I have configured mirror root with VxVM. All the documentation i have seen says to configure the dump device to be swap (dumpadm -d /dev/dsk/c0t0d0s1).
But, wont this leave my root mirror in an inconsistent state if a dump is written to swap ? Should I not be using swapvol for the dump device (dumpadm -d /dev/vx/swapvol) ??
Help !!

Dave,
Doesn't VxVm take care of this itself when it starts up in /etc/rcS.d/S85vxvm-startup2.
It reads /etc/dumpadm.conf which has been created by running the dumpadm cmd, and works out what the correct action to take is.
