Just bought (online - easier!!!!)
Amped, RallySport and Shrek
Looked at Spiderman and 007 - checked out the reviews and decided against them...
Anybody confirm that they aren't as good as they look?

I have Spiderman and 007:AUF on the XBox.
Spiderman graphically is very good and very enjoyable to play, if a little easy and short (err, halfway through in only 3 hours of playing). The way he's animated is very good, web-spinning through the city looks fantastic, and the controls are easy to grasp. It does have replay value (you get points for completing levels in various fashions and use these points to unlock features, like the cool Spiderman bowling alley where the pins are webbed-up villans , and even playing the entire game as the Green Goblin). you also unlock artist sketches of the game and the film along the way so you can see how both were developed. The only 'bug' is the camera angle, which constantly needs to be adjusted using the right A-Pad. The other drawback is, as I said, the levels are easy due to the baddies not being tough enough. However you have to play through the game once before you can increase the skill level (I'd have prefered a skill level selector before playing).
007:AUF is also good and a little longer than Spiderman. The AI for the baddie is naff, until you realise that they do work to a pattern (you get bonuses for things like shooting a gas tap behind a baddie, thus the escaping gas taking him out - very bond-like) so it's not really AI as the baddie have to follow a set pattern.
It's very reminicent of N64 Goldeneye in places and the driving levels are very well done. It also has unlockables in the way of extras for multiplayer (and a few single player bits as well) - a feature which, thankfully, has AI bots so you can hone your skills alone. It's no Halo, but then Halo is in an entirely different league. A Lot of reviews slagged it off for it's control method, but you can change it to be more like Halo and I have no problem with the control method as such.
At £25 each you can't really go wrong as if you don't like them you can trade them in at EB/Game for £20.
Other Cracking games: MotoGP, Rallycross Challenge, Project Gotham Racing, Halo, DOA3, Amped
I'm thinking of getting Oddworld, is it any good? I've heard mixed things from both reviews and friends who have it (ot had it in some cases).
