VB help required - screensavers
#1
Is there a snippet of code that I can add to a VB program of mine that will detect if a password protected screensaver is active, and if so, turn it off?
I want to be able to do this as I have an exe that runs on the hour which opens production reports with various software...so the vb .exe is acting as a kind of scheduler of sorts...
...when the correct time is reached an application is opened which requires a single key stroke to enable the application to do it's stuff, 'ENTER'. I use the SENDKEY command to do this. However, SENDKEY doesn't work when the screensaver appears. A password protected screensaver is required as the pc is left unattended. I'd like some code that'll determine whether the screensaver is active, if so turn it off so that the application can be started correctly.
Anything much appreciated. I have been able to disable the screensaver with vb but this doesn't turn it off if it's already open.
Cheers

Haven't tried any of the following bits of info. so cannot say whether they work with a password protected s/s.
