Fairly useful site to start you with John:
http://www.geocities.com/siliconvalley/campus/1924/
But I would strongly suggest you don't bother with FrontPage until you have the basics. Use Notepad, it is the only way to fly.
Cheers

All i want to do initially is get a load of pictures and videos up so need a basic intro page then a page with the pics/videos on.
I'll take it from there then.

Chaps - John just wants a basic website setting up, not an all conquering Macromedia Site of the Day type thing.
John - use FrontPage, it isn't great for professional use, but it is more than handy for what you need. Visit webmonkey.com for tips and advice, and coolhomepages.com for inspiration.

If you look at my second link you will see it is for webmonkey!
If john ever wants to understand the smallest bit of HTML front-page is trash and not the way to do it. Nobody has said he wants to make a conquering Macromedia Site of the Day that’s what u have said. Just my opinion

of course someone out there could make me a basic front page and show me how to put up thumbnails that link to the main pictures/videos.
i dont have time at the moment to learn this stuff properly, but i am good at disecting what has been built and then making changes later.
anyone fancy knocking me something up for a small fee?
