Si,
But ah, yes, it now has an excuse to fritz out on you just at the time you really don't want it to
I say take it outside and shoot it before it can cause anymore problems.
Cheers

1st rule of working with hardware: never force *anything*, if it's not snapping together, then the connectors will not be lined up correctly or indeed are incompatible.
You really are a tube.

I told you to NEVER FORCE ANYTHING as delicate as that, you nutter! You really must be mad to put your whole weight onto pressing a flaming DIMM in mate. Sometimes they need a little preciseforce, but no where near that much!! If it won't go, work out as to why. I gave you a couple of options of what to try to fix it, but also told you the risks involved even if you were very delicate!
For god's sake, be careful, but that word really doesn't seem to be in your vocabulary
Nick.

I didn't say file it, I recommended very gently shaving the groove in the DIMM with a stanley bladeif that was indeed what was stopping the DIMM from fitting into the slot, only shaving off exactly what was necessary in order to mate the RAM into the socket and warned you that by doing this, with new RAM you will instantly lose any warranty that you have on the RAM.
Can't say that I didn't warn you.
Nick.
