...plus searching the web can appear to make you an expert. for example, I didn't know the exact way to sort out David's SQL query, but googling for sql microsoft substring soon gave me (and therefore us) what I needed to know.

Ive Briefly touched SQL, it was using that or ADO so i opted for ADO quite easy creating recordsets and pointers..etc
