basically my Uni email is web based, and i want to use Outlook to get it all.

they pointed me to some site, it just genreally said how to use the web based account.

As for asking cant think 1 person who use's Outlook + most mates are away

If they want you to use outlook then they will tell you the settings.. but they probably dont, Its alot easier to deal with viruses if you dont have sh1tty outlook at the other end, especially if the user doesnt know one end of a computer to another... not to mention virus scanners, updates...

If you really wanted to to run it then run a port scanner on every address on your internal network.. scan for ports 25 and 110 assuming you want smtp and pop3... they'll get you though and kill you if they run IDS..

To put it a different way.. if you were a user at our work, and i caught you installing outlook, let alone pointing it at our domino servers then you would be sacked on the spot.. gross misconduct... misuse of company property... (I think)

So is outlook really worth it... besides youll have to post asking how to set it up
