Likewise and BT will not convert any exchange close to me, as its not viable And theres a school in my village to

Satellite ha! thats a joke to, massive rental/monthly and installation costs plus u need planning permission for the dish if u already have digital/sat tv

No DSL for our exchange.

Only a major residential area which feeds about 5,000 homes

Hello

So guys have you registered your interest? Most of the exchanges will have trigger points set by September.

Sorry to say this guys, but these people go for high density areas, therfore bigger profits for less outlay.
How this fits inot the goverments supposed plan to have all schools (bioforger's hint noted) on line, god knows when, I don't know.
If it doesn't make them a profit, then they don't do it.
I think Labour need to force them in to it!

(No political bias intended).

If the government want broadband britain they should invest in it not "force" companies into it.

OK, so force was a bit a strong word. But you know what I mean.

I do and I agree - the amount of bleating they do about "broadband britain" they should either invest or shut up. they made so much from 3G licences and that debt is now hobbling the UK telecoms industry - they should put some back for the benefit of all.

None here either, so I'm still on ISDN.

Village next door does have it, but no one is using it *ARRGHH*.

Did suggest to the missus that we move up the road, but she isn't going for it
