Am having a brainfade today........

Where do you configure static routes in Solaris, so that they will be recreated on a reboot.

route add blahblah will not let them be recreated on a reboot.

Mind you, could I add the extra routes as default ones as you can put more than one entry in the defaulrouter file ?

Right, done it.

I created a file called /etc/rc2.d/S99routes and put the "route add" entries in there et voila !

I resent that they're sports sandals

yep .. I use /etc/rc3.d/S99routes too ~ saves you having to worry about whether it's Solaris 2.7, 8 or 9.

Steve

Anyone got Sol9 in a production environment yet ? Impressions ?

/etc/staticroutes seems to be connected with IPv6.

Thumbs up

Usally just hack the inet start script. We have custom IP tuning scripts and we just add the static routes in there..
