True port status?

Lo peeps,
I ran symantec's security check from their web site this morning, and accding to the results, all the active trojan horse prots are not infected and running in stealth mode.
I then ran a program called Anti-Trojan. It's results show that port 5000 is open, with possible trojan sockets de troie.It also say's that there are anouther 15 ports opened and lists all there numbers.
Is there a program available that will allow me to close these ports and get rid of the possible trojan?
Currently running Norton System Works/Internet Security/Firewall.

Port 5000 being opened is commenly associated with Windows XP. It is recommended that you disable this port. Details of what this port does are available below. The easiest way is for you to go to the following and download:
