After installing RealPlayer and a firewall my click on the touch-pad has muted itself?

No volume icon on toolbar either. Any ideas how I resolve this error?

Check in the cotrol panel, sounds (Sound and Audio devices on XP) you will find the volume control and the individual device controls, plus the event sounds

Hi

Not a Real player expert but goto Control Panel>Real Player>Open it up>Performance>Look for "Souncard Compatibilit">Settings>Check to see if any of the disable 16 bit sounds or Disable Custom Sounds have been disabled.

If not that, check in System (in Control Panel) to see if there are any hardware conflicts with your Sound Card.

Also, another thing you could try - Try uninstalling Real player and see if the sound comes back. That way you can definitly associate the error with Real player - Check you have the latest Sound card driver and see if that resolves the problem. If not, check the real player website to see if they have the problem mentioned on any of their FAQ's.

Hope that helps!
