I'm thinking that if you bought them 2nd hand or even new that they might require a base station ie they transmit on the frequency that the base station receives & v/versa. Two different freqs in use. No amount of button pressing will resolve that, without being plugged into a device to have the frequencies altered (not a cheap & readilly available device either!). They will be able to be programmed to work.

Dunno of anyone down your way, but EARS will be able to help & they are in West London.

Question

Hi All

as you may know, i run a Rally car and i am in need of some radio communications within the car now, from the car to the service vehicle.

I have obtained two motorola radios but i can't to be able to tune them in to each other, is there are communications people out there that could have a look at them??

What sort are they?

Are they the diddy kind that you can get in Argos? Or something black & brick like? New or old?

If they are the diddy kind (small, multi-coloured & low range) then they should be quite simple to match up - especially if bought as a pair. If its the black/grey more professional type, then it'll be a bit more of a problem! Depends on what you've bought.
