Anyone know any good cheap recovery software - for crashed hard disks

Where can i get it from

first of all, can the BIOS still detect the HDD? if yes, you can get stuff like norton utilities.

Not cheap, but if its critical stuff you need Vogon get the results.

How bad is the crash? Drive fried? Shows up in BIOS but no partition?

If the HDs is there in the BIOS but you can't see a partition, try

http://www.ontrack.com/easyrecovery/

There's a free trial version which will report what it can recover before shelling out for it.
