If I upgrade Win2000 to XP Pro on my laptop, will the upgrade process keep all the currently installed software?

yes, but make sure you do a backup of your data (just in case) coz XP will move folders about!

you might also wanna download XP drivers like modem, sound, VGA, etc from your notebook website.
