has anyone got an Intel PIII slot 1 processor for sale.

my m/board will accept upto 733MHz

Might be easier to get the fcgpga (or whatever it is..) type chip and get a convertor to fit it in your slot1 m/b, these are easier to come by than slot1 chips which seems to become less common after the PII550's came out IIRC

steve, get a "slocket" which will take the newer FC-PGA 370 pin and convert it to slot 1. it's easier to get a FC-PGA 370 pin CPU then a slot 1 CPU.

else, have a look at computer exchange for used CPUs.

The 800MHz is ok the PIII 'coppermine' ???

Just found out there is a computer fair tomorrow morning, DJ i will be in touch if i get no joy there. BTW how much?

thanks to everyone else, yes it is the BIG Black one and i have looked at the 'daughter board' 370 option
