i want / need a 6.0 Gb (or smaller) HDD for an older PC (no bios update available to allow recognition of a bigger HDD. Any help would be much appreciated. If you have anything I don't mind paying for it.

 

hmmm... just digged out a Conner 250mb HDD. still works! any use to you?

 

thanks for the offer, but no. i've got a 250Mb HDD on it at the moment to get it up and running. it's a colleagues home PC so it needs to be somewhere between 4.3 and 6.0 GB, if he is to have some work space on it.

 

I may have a 4.0 Gb drive about I'll have a look.

thanks very, much got'em. i was slightly late due to a puncture (fortunately at the Whipps X r'about). Had to get a company vehicle and driver to come and get me!!!

Darren handed em over when i borrowed his allen screws to put "my vehicle" back together. Made a huge difference to the power to weight ratio on the way home though.
