Default Sky+HD annoyance/possible issue

Anyone else got this issue, in relation to the blue favourites button on the remote?

As you know pressing the blue button takes you to the next fav channel you have saved, this works fine when watching live TV. However when i'm playing a recording and hit the blue button there is a 5second or longer delay before the channel banner appears, or it just doesn't respond at all and doesn't show the banner. Then nothing responds for a few seconds then it's ok. Its not the remote/batteries as everything else is fine.

When playing a recording if i bring up the channel banner first by pressing any of the arrow buttons on the remote and then press the blue button it will show the next fav chan in my list immediately as per usual.

I can get this to happen when playing any new recordings but on older recordings it works as normal. Everything else with the box works normally.

To me it seems like a software issue, but would be interested to know if anyone else gets a similar issue before i raise it with Sky. They will just tell me to hard reset the box anyway which i need to try next.

Yeah. I get this too.

You get do indeed sometimes get lag, or even a banner no-show, when you press blue for favs., whilst watching a recording.

Trick to do, though: first press info so the banner shows up. Then you can hit blue and go through favs. as per normal...

I agree.

But it's hardly the end of the world: one extra button press. No?

TBH, all Sky boxes have various annoying bugs. Every now and again, you get freezes and either have to do a planner rebuild or turn power on/off again.

My work colleague had just got Sky Q. She says it freezes at least once per viewing sesh. and has to always perform the above fix.

Terrible, really.

I love that phrase. Hilarious.

The way that actor delivers it. He really throws himself into his cameo. Genius.
