Default Apple Support

So, being open minded I've moved to Apple for my work devices, I also have ipads and Apple TV's at home. All seems to do the basics and I'm happy with that for what they are. Open use close .. job done.

So my iPhone 6s has randomly started claiming to be out of battery at about 40% or there abouts, I restart it and it comes back, but I use this for work so need to be contactable and I don't notice it's off until I go to use it.

So I email Apple and asked them what to do .. they replied saying you need to call us .. (busy email day) to which I replied, if I wanted to call you, I would have just done that, please give me some suggestions on how to fix my phone. (very simple issues to describe).

So, in response to me saying I don't want to call I get this:

We understand that you are unhappy with our response to your recent request. We care about your concerns and would like to talk to you directly to avoid more emails.

Please use one of the following options to help us resolve your issue:

Busy day in India? and really poor customer care.. I of course replied back politely asking them to give me some suggestions.

I'd have been ok with a you need to go to a shop.. That's understandable but there scripts on fixed can and have been emailed before. I just want one or two to try first before I lose the content on my phone.

I have a Corp policy so not sure it will recover.

I've read somewhere that the latest iOS is causing problems with battery, when I had similar issues with battery and went to the store I've been told to do restore, they always advise to do it regardless the problem, came back few days later and got the new phone.

I'm having this problem, my wife too and we are not alone many friends have been complaining too! I am on iOS 9.0.1 still and my wife is on iOS 10 so whichever the iOS makes no difference. Neither does a restore as I have tried this too.

Upon researching on the net there is no fix. This is a poor effort from Apple. Seems the only fix to me is a new battery!

Pimmo if your phone is still in warranty they said they will exchange them but might still not solve the problem

Turn off location services, see if that fixes it, if it does it's likely an app.

They did once but it is clear now they have their fair share of dubious failings and aren't what they once were. Support isn't the best now either and takes a firm approach to elicit action.

Visited a friend today, his 6s is in for a battery related recall, worth checking as it sounds the same https://www.apple.com/support/iphone...ectedshutdown/

Not sure why they couldn't tell you that.

mine 6s has been replaced FOC when I had issues with battery, when they did the checks they said that battery is fine, but there was something wrong with the software, I didn't know about that replacement program though, I bought mine in oct 2015
