Default Google search. Lost "UK" option.

I use a macbook pro, OS 10.8.5 and Safari 6.2.8 - All permissions/softwareupdates etc all done.

When using google (set as default search engine) it opens the first window to google UK, which is good as I am in the UK and that is the Safari preference.
When I enter a search term and click for the results up pops the list--fine
BUT it is the global/worldwide list for my search term. I use to be able to refine this list by then clicking on "search tools" and it gave the option of "All results", "Any time" and the most important … "any country".
By clicking "any country" a drop down menu appeared for "all or UK".
As I usually only want results from/for/in relevant to the UK this was good as I could click UK.
Now, I don't know if it is me or google (expect me) but this final UK option has disappeared, there is no drop down menue and the search results are endless and mostly irrelevant. All I get is "All' when clicking search tools.
How can I set things so the UK option choice is back ?
I must has changed a setting somewhere but where ????
Help please. Hope this all makes sense.
Many thanks
Brian

Thanks, but that is what I do and it's not there ! No UK option, no drop down, just "All".

Well it is now all OK and I haven't done a thing.
I'm just putting it down as 'one of those things that happen !'
