Default Which of these laptops?

Hi All

Anyone care to share their opinion on which of these laptops is the best....need a new one just for the usual youtube, pics etc. Dont need it to be so powerful it will make you bow before it like Zod.

The details are in Dutch but you can easily read the specs.

This one: http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computi...35223-pdt.html

ebuyer have it for £430. Faster processor, I don't like ACER as they are non-standard and when they break, are harder to repair.

I would get an HP laptop. i5/i7 processor. Decent graphics and storage (must be ssd). Then whether you want dvd, touch screen (urgh). Memory card slot or decent amount of usb- latest standard.

HP and Toshiba both renowned for GPU chip problems after a year or so. I would avoid.

How so...current gen Intel i7 and i5 have graphics handled by the CPU (there is no GPU). Unless it's top end gaming laptop which none of those listed by the OP are

Now older general purpose Laptops based on Nvidia chipsets, yes big problem..but we're talking 5 year old tech now. These chipsets don't exist anymore.

Fair point, I hadn't touched them for a few years because of the GPU issues. They'd be ok in that case!

It's still a point worth making though, as Nvidia powered laptops do exist, and probably best to avoid as they currently have driver problems with Windows 10. This is regardless of brand as they all appear to have been affected.
