Not sure if it's as big a surprise to the two previous posters (or anyone else reading) as it was to me, but a few minutes googling revealed there really is a connection between Macs and Aphex Twin:

I doubt Apple had much to do with the pricing
I didn't buy from Apple !
If they did though it's a sign that Apple is just starting to no longer hold their customers to ransom imo

Still got an Apple IIe and a couple of original Mac's kicking around. I loved Mac's as a kid. My dad worked for Apple right at the start. He took a payrise instead of a large quantity shares....what a daft c**t.
