Its not quite free mate, as from February its going up 4quid

 

virgin is hit and miss around here. I'm supposed to be on 120mb, I have only ever seen above 100mb once. I have complained so many times, they have sent me new superhub's and now superhub 2, they have even replaced the cable from the cabinet at the end of the street with thicker cable.

I phone up and complain, speed goes up. next day speed is down. I phone up and complain, speed goes up

yesterday it was down to 4mb again, for months it was between 1 and 5mb. I have even sent my screen shots to watchdog

xbox COD is ridiculous, one game is spot on, next game is terrible, next game poor

 

Odd the call centre chaps have access to nothing that would improve your speed. I'd guess it's a utilisation issue in your area.
