Default My charger DISCHARGED my phone.

Is this possible?
I have an Xperia Z3 mini, it has a magnetic charging port, for which I have bought a USB equipped lead.

Yesterday it was plugged into the USB mains adaptor here in France, (bought in the UK, around £2), and was first off connecting, then disconnecting etc, then it APPEARED to connect, but the next morning the phone was powered down, completely flat.

Faulty USB/mains adaptor?

I later charged it using another I have here, it worked fine.

Don't buy £2 chargers, you're lucky it didn't burn the house down.

Sounds more like a faulty cable or loose connector to me. If the phone was constantly flicking on and off from charging/not-charging, it would be normal for the battery to drain even faster than not charging at all as the phone could never settle into sleep mode (the constant connect/disconnect would be waking it up every couple of minutes, which will re-activate the wifi, plus all the processes that use the wifi, plus the screen, etc, etc). Either that or the current draw of the phone was too much for the charger, so it kept trying to switch itself on then shutting down again.

You really don't have much luck do you.

On another note, what's the weather like where you are?

Was brilliant yesterday, 17 deg...I was going to mow the grass, but the ride-on mower got a flat....not just gone down, it's punctured. (Yep, my luck again...who gets a puncture on a ride-on???)
Got up today and it's rained, grass is wet, drizzling now and rain pretty much forecast for the rest of Oct, (unlike yesterday when they forecast bright spells every day), they now say we'll be lucky to get above 12 deg today.....woodburner will be lit.
