Default Phone suggestion

I have just upgraded my daughters sim yo 4g and she only has a Samsung s3 so I need some opinions on a phone I can buy her that will do 4g. I'm hoping to spend under £200 but it's looking hard. The phone has to be small as she is not one for the size of say a Samsung s4 as its too big for her pockets at school.

My Missus has the S4 mini, not to my taste but a pretty good spec for the price.

Didn't end up getting it as I got it delivered to a store and when I went to pick it up they would not give it to me without photo ID, there is no way I'm taking my passport to buy a cheap phone especially when I go to America in 4 weeks so I just got home and cancelled the order.

Think I will just go with my original idea of the LG G2 mini.

What about one of the Nokia Lumia family? The 530 has a 4" screen and can be had for £70.

WinPho is very much the 'unloved' ecosystem, and I didn't rate it until I got one (HTC 8S) as a work phone. Since then I've actually grown to quite like it as a cheap smartphone - it's very fast to use, it's cheap to buy, and the battery life is *superb*.

That would explain why you're coming on SN asking about what phone to get.... still owning a paper licence in this day and age. Luddite!

I use a mini for work and it's a good phone for what it is.

Shaun, I'm really good with tech I know which phone I would rather buy her but I have to stick with phones that aren't very big(small) which means older models and not the best at that

If I bought her something good it would save me cash in the long run but all the good phones are too big

Just got my Nephew a Sony Xperia M2, only 8gb but a nice 8mp camera and its 4g, also put a 32gb card in there so plenty of storage, £129.99 for the phone at retail price.

I still had my original paper license until 6months ago when it got stolen...not a single endorsement either.

Ain't broke don't fix
