Default iPhone 6

I'm tempted to buy one but is it worth it over the 5s? The 5s has the right size so what is so good about the 6?

Pretty much everything has been improved. 5s is still awesome however so I could live with it.

For me it has a barometer, plus I bought the 6+ which is massively different.

I use a phone for a phone then Internet, music and camera. Is the 6 that much better than the 5s for those ?

The size is better for internet browsing by a long way. Music, nope. Camera is noticeably better especially on the 6+ with added stabilisation. Video even better.

No doubt the 5s is still very much a valid device, if it was a 5 I'd say go for it without a thought. 5s to 6 is an indulgence, I would stick with the 5s if not for the barometer, but saying that now I've had a huge phone it'd be hard going back.

You see I hate all these huge phones and would love to get a top quality phone that is the same size as my iPod touch 4, but that's never gonna happen as if they make a smaller phone they make it budget.

Forgot to add iPhone do a 128gig version so it can cope with virtually anything, android is nearly all 16 gig so that's it. I know they have sd card but since Google stopped moving apps to sd cards a 16gig phone fills up quickly if you add modern warfare and wildblood and that's before you add some silly games.

You wait, couple of years there'll be a whole room of people cheering as a chap in a black polo neck announces.. "Welcome to the new iPhone Nano. Smarter, faster and more compact"

I do agree though, why do we need a phone to be so bloody big! I have a tablet for that, the iPhone 4s is my ideal size phone. It should be a phone first with the ability to have lots of helpful features.

I have the 5s and 6+ and use both, the 5s is now almost impossible to read on or at least tiring, my old eyes I suppose as I remember reading a book on the 4s. I still love it on my bike, perfect size, but no doubt once I can mount the 6+ that will change too.

What a shame, could have had decent sized phone many years ago and saved the eyes.

Talk about dedication to the cause !

Xperia Z3 compact, virtually same spec as it's bigger brother.

It's all IOS8!
My 5 does nothing for me (and I guess most other users) that the wife's 4s can't and it does everything that my mates 5s does and I dare say pretty much everything that a 6 will. I'm due an upgrade but am just going to get me a cheap sim deal as acquiring a 6 will be an indulgence that 90% of people including me just don't need....... IOS8 is IOS8 is IOS8.................. Whichever phone you have!

You'd have to be seriously worried about security /really have top need for good photos, to spend 600odd quid more than you need to.

Going to treat myself to a 6+ .
Amazing bit of kit and going to be a lot easier to read the Internet pages /fb then my five

The misses is got the 4s and just seems to small to read now
Never really use it as a phone

Still got my original IPad after 3years and the misses has the mini iPad but I find it just a bit too small but great when we took it on holiday

Had my 6 (smaller one) since near the release date and I am definitely impressed.
A case is sadly essential - I scratched mine very lightly in no time near the top of the screen. I went for the Apple leather one - delivery was late so I got it (from Apple) for £20 - half price!

Battery life is consistently far better, the camera is a huge leap (my 5 camera was utter turd) and it just works.

Bad points are:

Battery life still could be better
It seems to drop Wifi connections randomly at times.

But that's about it really.

A decent bit of kit.

The camera on the iPhone 5 is better than the camera on the 4s, the camera on the 5s better than the camera on the 5, the camera on the 6 is better than the camera on the 5s.

Why do you find this difficult to understand? We know you're a troll, but I didn't have you down as suffering from some form of dementia.

It's worth it if you don't want the embarrassment of getting an "old" phone out.

In essence it's the same phone per se, just revised design and a bigger screen. The bigger screen is nice and I'm long past any concerns (as in negative) about it's size difference (being bigger) than the 5s.

My mrs has the 5s and using that compared to the 6, screen wise, I much prefer the larger screen now.

If you look at it as a phone, it's great imo. If you look at it to decide whether or not it's worth upgrading from the 5s..... the biggest difference is the screen size imo.

My missus' 4S takes way better snaps than my 5 did; TBH I think one of the major iOS updates improved the 5S camera but spoiled the 5; it could only handle perfect light conditions, was often grainy, etc. The 6 camera is way better; within the limitations of a phone camera.

I'm now finding the 4S screen near impossible to read; it seems so tiny!

I don't do a lot of reading up on these things, but have heard stories I.e bending and breaking. Is this as much of a concern as its made out to be? And would a decent case sort that?

I was going to go for a 6 shortly, but after reading this I'm tempted with the +
