64 bit version has optimised video playback- its good and quick. Only thing wrong is the data privacy issue with Google

Chrome is my preferred browser tends to be quicker than firefox, the latest version of IE is actually a very good standards based browser but it's trying to shift a bad reputation

Safari is miles ahead in speed and function but for dirty stuff I use Chrome. Tampermonkey and Hola! mostly. Still use Firefox for Firebug, not sure why.

I take it you mean on your Apple devices, Jack, as Safari on Windows is utter dog ****.

TBH, it wasn't much better on iOS until fairly recently, but it has improved greatly in the last two iterations.

There is no Safari for Windows so that's a safe bet.

Aha, so I see, it used to be, maybe it was so poor even Apple realised no one wanted to use it on Windows.

Not sure why they ever did it to be honest, they didn't charge for it and the experience with it was so bad it was unlikely to make people go "ooo, maybe I should get a Mac".

Apple have done lots of good things, Safari for Windows, however, was not one of them.

Maybe Windows was so poor Apple didn't want to develop for it, we'll never know.

I use Chrome + Zenmate for my BBC and ITV access here in Oz/Thailand
I also have my chrome cache directed to Ramdisk for improved web surfing response.

I've used chrome for years now, it's really handy as all my bookmarks sync from my home PC to my work PC & my phone and tablet. It's fairly quick, noticeably faster than IE but probably about the same as firefox.
