Just set my pc back to factory settings and everything is fine except for when I'm listening to the radio on iplayer and the pc turns the screen off after 10 minutes the sound goes off as well any ideas how to stop it going off, I don't really want to leave the screen on all the time. Ta

Sure it's not your PC going to sleep, rather than just the screen turning off?

Got me stumped then, I'm no techy though. I've sent a message to someone more PC techy than me though.

As an aside, since you're on Win7. When you put your computer to sleep, do the fans shut down?

Very strange, your monitor doesn't have built in speakers does it?

For a quick solution, in the power settings set the display to turn off "Never" and then switch the monitor off when not in use

If the PC is in an idle state it should not happen, if its in sleep mode, then this will happen.

Also update your soundcard drivers.

There's nothing you can change in the power settings as its an all in one PC the issue you have is when it powers down the monitor it also powering down the speakers i would have thought. Try explaining the issue to the manufacturer and see if they have a solution.
