Default Best waterproof camera?

Just been on holiday and bought a cheap water proof camera, it did the job i was quite impressed, but i've seen other videos on YouTube and decided i want better quality one next time

Does anyone have any suggestions to cameras/video recorders that they found were good?

I sacked off go pro due to having no steady shot , I hope their next lot has it. Still a good option.

I currently use the Sony AS100 in waterproof housing cry crisp and smooth, Olympus do a range of proper compacts that you can just dive in any pool, no case needed I used one for a few years was great.
