MacBook Air Adobe Reader blocked plug in
Hello again technology gurus
New problem as the title, I got a pop up window to download a new version of Adobe reader so against my better judgement I clicked on the link and down loaded the "Latest Version" and now all I get when I try to view any Youtube links or vids is "blocked plug in" I have tried to find some older versions and download them to see if anything changes without any luck, so rather than throw it at the wall I thought I'd pop a thread up in here. HELP!!! Pretty PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE!!!!

There's a browser setting to solve that, the annoying part is that it defaults to blocked. Not got a Mac to hand but will check it out and get back to you.
Why remove the Adobe reader it works without any issue...
Ok so I'm assuming you're using Safari and if so go to preferences and select the security button.
The bottom setting option for "internet plug-ins" should be ticked.
Then select the "manage website settings" button and you can manually set the permissions for each plugin.
Adobe reader is blocked because it doesn't meet the Safari security requirements, details in the panel window. I've never had a problem on any of my Macs with it set to "allow"

Jura's links cover issues with Flash plugin compatibility, the solution in my post will solve your "Adobe Reader" issue...
Assuming you're using Safari - go to Preferences and select the Security button.
The last setting option for "internet plug-ins" should be ticked
Select the "Manage Website Settings" button and you can manually set the permissions for each plug-in installed.
Adobe reader is blocked because it doesn't meet the Safari security requirements, so set the option to "Allow" details of the reason for blocking are in the panel window. I've never had a problem on any of my Macs with it set to "allow"
All the best
