Does anybody have experience or a view point on this?
£90 buys the broadband modem and software and then £30 per month.
I don't think my nerves will survive much more dial up connection (redialed 4 times already in an hour)
Broadband will allegedly give me 10 times the speed and no downtime, seems nearly too good to be true for the money.

ps I have sweet FA computer knowledge so simple answers only please!

visit www.adslguide.org.uk and hopefully it will answer all your questions.

p/s £29.99 is a bit OTT to pay for adsl when you can get it for around £24.00 plus there are deals with free setup fees and adsl modem!

bew,

if you have had to re-dial 4 times in an hour due to a poor phone line/connection, then ADSL (broadband) might not be possible anyway - as it uses the same wire!!

I used to have similar problems to you, got Freeserve Broadband 6 months ago and 'hey presto' NO PROBLEMS great line speed, never been kicked off etc etc. In my opinion its well worth the money, I also know of a few others that have freesevre BB and not a bad word to say about it.

no call charges, just use it whenever you want or 24/7! adsl is "always on" connection. all you pay is the monthly subscription to the ISP from £24 to £30.

btw, with adsl, you can still use your landline, so no more engaged tone when people fone you!
