Delete pictures from iphone

I have an iphone 5 running ios7 but I can't delete certain photos or albums for that matter. One of the folders is synced to my Mac mini. On the folder screen when I select edit there is no delete option nor when I go into the folder.

Stop syncing it with your Mac.

Delete the folder on your Mac, then next time it syncs the photos will be gone.
