Has anyone tried using one and do they work well? Thinking of getting one so I can watch programs on the ipad when on holiday instead of dragging the laptop with me.

Not a flash drive but wireless self powered storage, if that is what you are after.

I bought some of these for work, can be connected wirelessly, via ethernet or USB 3.

It will run continuously for around 6 hours from its own rechargeable battery.
