Got my pc linked to ntl-broadband
Want to run an unreal server for friends
Can't run server and play at the same time
Want to link a fast laptop to mine - so i can run server from that and play on mine
Easy ways to do this please

Yup running dedicated server mode - is there another ?
When i play a game on mine when i have got the server running in the background - it kicks me offffff

Thought about the second NIC option - have got one spare knockin about i think

you should be able to do it - start up UT - then start a new multiplayer game .... this should be accessable over the internet (tell your friends what ip address your on) and get them to connect...
or as you said start a dedicated server on another box...
BTW more than 3/4 external internet connections playing on your UT server and things for them will get bad (high ping/packet loss etc)...
but you could have 10 peeps internally on your home lan playing and 3/4 externally connected without any issues...
