Wink

You just want to take advantage of the superior ping you would get sitting on the game server.

Thumbs up

Just add another NIC to the server and connect laptop using a crossover cable...

Do you have to run dedicated server???

Cool

you should be able to do it - start up UT - then start a new multiplayer game .... this should be accessable over the internet (tell your friends what ip address your on) and get them to connect...

or as you said start a dedicated server on another box...

BTW more than 3/4 external internet connections playing on your UT server and things for them will get bad (high ping/packet loss etc)...

but you could have 10 peeps internally on your home lan playing and 3/4 externally connected without any issues...

not that i've done this b4 or anything... if you get stuck email me: webmaster@colute.net
