Default Clouded looking headlight lense

Basically sorting out another issue with the car, this time a leaking headlight, I thought it looked as if it was condensation, so once light was apart realised the inside seems a bit tarnished, aswell as the outside.

Anyway tried using something like fast glass to wipe the stuff off inside the light, wouldn't come off, seemed to shift if scrubbed at it for abit with finger nail.

So tried the meguiars headlight restoration kit on it, but now lense seems completely clouded rather than clear.

Anyone know best way to try get it back looking its best again??

nevermind just done abit more reading and seems if they inside seem very sensitive to marking, so probably need to replace both headlights :/ the joys, as the driver light seems to be clouded every so slightly so must be leaking a small amount aswell, so inside of that will most likely be suffering same as passenger light

If you used the Meg's kit you'll also need to machine polish them to get the gloss back.

2stage one with and agressive pad and polish combo then a finishing stage to really make them shine.
