Default Washing the scooby

This is probably a really daft question but is there anything I need to be careful with when washing my Impreza (I.e around the bonnet scoop)? Presumably blasting the pressure washer directly into the scoop isn't a bright idea.

Cheers.

On a serious note as long as your electrical equipment is covered up and your not throwing buckets of water around your coil packs etc.. you will be fine as shreksta said what do you do when it rains?SJ.

the only thing that concerns me is if i wash the engine surely the water running down to the spark plugs is a bad idea as they could rust and be a ******* to remove

See I had anticipate an answer along those lines. There is however a fundamental difference between 'rain on the motorway' and a pressure washer putting out 60 L/min at 110 Bar.

yeah but if your stupid enough to blast a pressure washer into the scoop then what do you expect? there is no reason to do it.when i wash my impreza i dont try and avoid the scoop............if water goes in then it goes in,if it doesnt then it doesnt.there is no reason to blast water into your scoop

Don't fire a high pressure washer at a FMIC at close range - it will seriously distort the fins.
