Because there is so many manufacturers trying desperately to make you poor
I restricted myself to just one supplier
Chemical guys
Miracle dryer and medium waffle towel had them now for three years cost £35 the pair and are brilliant
A lot of the purists use this company

Also try Michael from polishing booth at Preston
He has some great stuff too
But once you start it's a slippery and rewarding slope

I mainly use Microfibre Madness Drying Towels. Excellent quality and can easily so a Impreza with one towel.

If you don't want to spend quite so much these http://www.i4detailing.co.uk/acatalo....html#aUBERDRY

are supposed to be a great buy

Its like most things you get what you pay for. If you are not into detailing or happy looking at cob webs in your paint in the Sun then a cheap one is fine. Its your choice

I use waffle towel, 4 in total. Then use microfibre with autoglym aqua wax. If I still have time then finish off with a detailer

Its the washing a drying process that causes 90 percent of swirls so its best to get a deep pile drying towel. Yes dry is dry but getting it dry causes things that you have to get rid of later

Detail or polish the car as I like to call it, I mean propper polishing. Ie rotary. Get the car fine through the stages, then seal with a good wax like ag hd, two three coats max,

Then all u do is once a week. Pressure wash the car, use ag shampoo the new trade version, pressure wash off again. Allow to drip for 5 mins then use a compressor and open airline to drive off the rest of the water.

Once dry I will go round with radient wax, once a month I replace radient with hd to keep up the protection,

No drying towels no touching the car no imperfections.

Your preaching to the choir mate. I was a Painter in top bodyshops for over 10 years. There is nothing you can do to stop swirl marks.

A good quality towel will induce less scratches than a crap towel. I tried the cd test and paint tests for a asda cheapo and a poorboys towel and it showed better results with the latter but I guess thats only my opinion

Maybe less but as I said its impossible to stop. Wax will hide them or as jake said machine polish it then never touch it again with a cloth or sponge of any kind.

Wax wont mate. Polish with a high filler content will help.
