Default What DA & Pads

Hi guys,

Want to get a DA after years of doing it by hand.

What DA is bang for buck?

Also, need a variant of pads to use for various paints like Subaru , VAG, Vauxhall and Ford paints.
So will need to remove deeper scratches and others need just surface scratches etc.

Would you need a different pad for plastics ie spoilers etc?

I got myself a kestrel das6, cost about £90 but its the same as a meguirs g220 without the brand pricetag.

For pads i bought a set of hexlogic pads, orange, white, blue and black, these should do ok.

For smaller areas and bumpers you may want to get some smaller 5" pads and a backing plate.

Not thought about trying a rotary?

Bought one recently and after a little while of using got great results on a vauxhall astra with hexlogic orange, white and black pads using megs#83, #80 and menzerna final finish.

Rotary's can be picked up for about £50.

I was a bit dubious at first as you hear the horror stories, but if you take your time you get great results.

Cheers guys. Looking to go to Elite as they are the most local to me and see what I am buying.

Like the idea of smaller pads too for small areas.
