Default Car cover for external storage?

Due to a load of work we're having done my scoob will have to live outside over winter

Since the only place it can go is on a patio area under some trees I'd like to get a decent car cover to keep it clean etc.

Can anyone recommend a make of cover for me please (or ones to avoid)?

It's a classic saloon with a Prodrive rear wing - I don't know if these things come tailored to fit or are more general in shape?

Thanks,
Steve

Shame about the trees since I'd heard car covers can do a lot of damage to paint work so the best option is a good waxing!
That being said if it's to be kept under trees maybe better to get the cover. I was undecided about a cover for winter etc (not using the car much) but have opted to go for lots of wax instead.
I've seen some posts in the general section about covers not so long ago. You may find more info there.

I was looking at a site that did car covers that had a fleece lining inside so that they didn't scratch the paintwork on the corners, mine doesn't get used over the winter and i was going to get a fleeced cover and get a big piece of tarpaulin to go over the top of that to keep the water off it, but ended up being able to use my nans garage.

You can find some that give the option for rear wings, google fleece lined car covers or something along those lines.

Depends where it will live exactly? If its on land or a big garden buy a cheap Gazebo off eBay with sides and door entry/windows. That will keep moisture off and tree sap etc (just wait to see the colour of the roof of the gazebo and think 'that could of been my cars paint')

Pal of mine does this every winter with a 'dry day only' immaculate Escort Cosworth. Ensures its bolted to the floor for bad winds etc. Happy Days.
