Question What are those things called?

What are those things called that are like bendy plastic things that you use to scrape excess water of your car before you leather it? They use em at the hand wash place where I go. I used to have one and lost it now I can't think for the life of me what they're called!

Water blades......double edged sword. I got one from the Wax Wizard on here in 2002 but got a bit wary in the end in case I got a large bit of grit stuck and scratched the paint

Fine on bodywork as well. As long as its clean when used , same as any other cloth really.

Then you'd need to clean your car and use one in a vacum chamber. Just by nature grit, dust etc will be blown onto the car by the wind. The only way then to avoid inflicting damage is to pat dry with a suitable drying towel.

Not all cloths are ok for use on the car either

Did anyone see the test that 5th gear did when testing different types of car washes? The hand wash came out the worst by far for damaged paint work down to the water blade used
I would stay well clear
