Baked tree sap /aphid juice - Best remover
Simple really.
What's the best product for getting rid of some dried /baked on tree sap /aphid juice.
Little pin head sized dots all over car roof.
Have seen something called 'autosmart tardis' mentioned (used by body shops) but only comes in a large 5l tins. Too much for what I want. Anyone know if it comes in smaller tins?
Anything else that people can recommend. Have tried tar remover, no joy with it.
Cheers

I'd go with:
Pressure Rinse,
Foam with a Citrus Degreaser left to dwell for 5 - 10 mins,
Rinse,
Light foam with something like Megs Hyper Wash,
Wash with 2bm - be sure to use warm to hot water in both buckets as it will help to soften the sap,
Rinse,
Pat dry,
Apply Tardis and leave to dwell for 5 mins,
Wipe over with an mf towel and reapply if needed,
Rinse well,
Pat Dry,
Clay,
Light foam,
Rinse,
Wash with 2bm,
Rinse,
Pat Dry,
Inspect paint and repeat above if needed,
Polish,
Protect with a good LSP.
Yes it's long winded but the results will be worth it. Plus keep the LSP topped up and it should make it easier to remove the sap in future. Remember to adjust dwell times according to level of foam and ambient temps / sunlight.
Alternatively get a detailer in and then keep on top of the LSP.
