Default getting to old for this...... cleaning my car :)

Been out on the drive cleaning my Bugeye today

Still looks good after 8 years IMHO but it's started to develop a film of debris which washing can't get rid of

For those who remember mark the Swissol Wax Wizard I'd clay bar, cleanse and wax but at my age I think my arm will drop off !! Not quite PSL age but close LOL

Any suggestions for substituting something powerd in place of my tired arm

Cheers

Don't be such a wimp. You should be showing the sprogs on here how to look after a car!
A good wash, complete claying - which won't result in your arm dropping off - followed by the use of a cleaner/swirl remover eg Poorboys SSR 2.5 etc. (by machine if possible) You can now polish followed by waxing or go straight to wax if your arm is showing signs of becoming loose! If possible, finish off with a sealant. The result will be brilliant!
After every couple of washes use a quick detailer to keep most of the crap from sticking to the paint.
My STi is over 7 years old, never been under cover and looks great.
If you need a lie down half way through why not do the horizontal surfaces one day and the vertical surfaces the next?

Great post JohnD
Poor boys do a bug and tar remover in a spray bottle which you can spray on before you wash and it helps to break down the hard bugs and grime that washing alone doesn't remove, I think its about £10.00 a bottle. I have used it on my dads Honda before I clayed and didn't get much contamination left on the clay bar after using the poorboys stuff.

Sounds like you've got a couple of wheel cleaners, at least!
